Blog Housekeeping

As you can tell I’ve been doing a little blog cleaning around here.

I’m trying to get things deleted, added, organized & so on.

And I need your help.

Pretty Please.

* I’m taking the Raising Little Women blog feed off my personal facebook page and will now be using the Facebook Like thingamabob. I’ve added the button to the sidebar. Just hop on down and like me.

* If your blog is on facebook can you please let me know so I can follow you. I find that it is SO much easier to follow blogs on facebook since the posts show up in your facebook feed.

* I am deleting all the blogs that I have bookmarked on my computer (taking up too much space and I can’t find a thing) I’m thinking about deleting most of my feeds too. I’ve got a list of blogs going that you can find in my menu (up top) I have been going through my list of Google Friend Connect list and some of you do not have your blogs listed. If you have a blog, will you let me know the url.

Also, if you do not see yours listed, please let me know. I have links and bookmarks everywhere and I know I’m gonna miss one, two or a hundred. I’ve still need to go through my google reader, but it would really help me out if you’d list it below.

*Do you have a flickr account? Please share.

Okay, that is all. I think.

And to thank y’all helping a girl out, I’m gonna give away a little goodie.

To be entered all you need to do is “like” my blog on facebook.
Then just leave me a comment letting me know.

That’s it.

Oh, I almost forgot. The blog is now mobile! Finally! Now I don’t have to squint when I look up recipes, links or blog addresses. Go check it out.

If you have a wordpress blog you can use the WPtouch plugin. It is SUPER easy. You can do it right from your dashboard.

I found a tutorial on how to mobilize your blogger.com blog here. It looks pretty simple too.

Let me know when you go mobile so I can check you out on the itouch.

And don’t forget to leave your links in the comments.

Thanks y’all!

Our Wednesday Evening

Last night church was cancelled due to some of the bad weather that was passing through here. For most of the evening we were under tornado warnings or watches, so we hung around the house and just kinda chilled out.

Sarah was getting pretty bored, which tends to get her in trouble, so I took her to her room to play a bit. Silly girl. She couldn’t decide what she wanted to play, so she had me choose, and then she turned down every thing I suggested.

We finally decided on a game of Cootie. Do you remember that game? I loved Cootie as a kid. Audrey decided she wanted to join us.  And she pretty much beat Sarah and me.

The game didn’t last long, at all!  Audrey was ahead, then Sarah, and it took me forever to finally roll a one. We gave up, and decided to do something else. [Cootie, is not as much fun when your an adult. ha! ]

Don’t let the air popcorn popper fool you into thinking we eat a healthy bowl of popcorn around here!  Lots of melted butter. Lots of salt. Yum!

Sarah wanted to have her picture made while we waited.

That pretty much sums up our night. Did you do anything fun last night? I know many parts were under tornado warnings or bad weather, were you stuck in the house last night too?

Random Junk

Don’t forget to enter for a chance to win $65!! I will be drawing tonight, and posting tomorrow.

I forgot to take a picture for my 365 yesterday [sigh] I did make it to day #2 which is a big deal in itself.

I pulled my sewing machine out the other night and actually finished a little project. This one was just a practice, so its not perfect. Which come to think of it, nothing I ever sew is perfect! ha! I used some material that my grandmother gave me a while back [that she’s had for who knows how long] and made [or tried to make] one of these dishcloths.

I started clipping coupons again, and rejoined The Grocery Game. I know it costs, but seriously, it still saves us money. I’m also doing the cash only thing. Which makes it a lot easier to say no, especially when the girls are asking for this snack or that snack.  And I have a little hiding place that I keep the money here at the house, and I only pull it out when I am going to the grocery store. I know me and I know I’ll spend it! Then we will have no food!

I make a mess when clipping coupons. They are everywhere. Seriously. I needed a place that would just be used for coupons or school stuff, so I brought the card table upstairs, its now my “desk”. David was kinda, sorta against it, might still be, he just hasn’t said anything lately. But he knows me, and even though I had all intentions of keeping a nice, little, organized spot, it is far from it.  But I know where everything is, and the girls know NOT to mess or move around my mess stuff [this is where one of them will sit while playing for hours on build a bear]

My computer is wore slap out! The screen is coming apart from all the opening and closing it goes through. So, David fixed it right up with a strip of gorilla tape :D

All throughout the year, I am SO white, unless I tan, and I only pretty much do that before a vacation. So, I started using a self tanning lotion, tinted cream, whatever its called. I’ve got my fingers crossed that I will not start looking orange in the next couple of days. Cause I’m thinking, the only thing that would look worse than being clay dirt red in the middle of summer, would be to look clay dirt red in the middle of winter.

That pretty much covers what’s going on with me right now. I know, I live a very wild & crazy life. Sewing, coupons & tanning cream.

Oh, I did get a bit of good news yesterday! Melissa, A Familiar Path, hosts a giveaway on her blog through Blogher & Kellogg’s, they notified me yesterday that I’ve won a $100 visa gift card.  Now I just need to decide what to spend it on.
