Back before Christmas we worked on the bathroom downstairs getting it ready for Emily & Audrey. Painted the walls & cabinet, new mirror, new shower curtain & lights. Cleaning out cabinets & drawers getting it ready for their things.
I was down there cleaning last week and it hit me, as it usually does when it comes to the girls, they are growing up. Sigh.
Emily will be 12 Friday. Audrey turned 10 back in August.

Audrey’s flat iron she got for Christmas
No longer are there bath toys all over the bathroom, rubber ducky or the little squirt toys. No cup to rinse hair off with, no Baby Shampoo, no bath paints or Mr. Bubbles by the tub.
No, we’ve traded those things for razors, shaving cream, hair dryers, curling irons & flat irons.
“Pretend” make-up and nail polish has been replaced by the “real” thing.
No longer are the scents coming from the bathroom those of a new born baby, toddler or even preschooler. They are now smells of growing girls.
Scented soaps, lotions & powders.
I wonder if I can talk them into using Johnson & Johnson baby wash, lotion & powder?
