Getting Up Close {in pictures}

I ran across this little gem of a lens on Amazon over the weekend. It came in the mail today.

It is awesome.

It shoots macro.

It was less than $8.00

Yes, you read that right.

Is that not the neatest thing!

I’m still playing around with it and hope to pull out the tripod and remote tomorrow.

I’ve been wanting a macro lens. But the really nice ones, cost lots of money.

And this is perfect for what I’d like to do.  And it is MUCH cheaper.

Just to add, I did not crop in close on these pictures. This is SOOC ~ the only adjustments I did were to lighten

For the past couple of days Miss Sarah has not felt her best, but could still run with the best of them. But today, that changed. She did not want to get up. She wanted to be held. She whined. Like a lot. Here she is on her pallet, giving a smile for the camera.

I went to get the thermometer to take her temp. Couldn’t find it. I looked everywhere. Sigh.
I really did not want to load the girls up and head to Wal-Mart with her feeling so bad, but I like to keep track of their temps when they are sick. So, out we go.

We are home NOT five stinkin’ minutes and low and behold Emily finds the “lost” thermometer.

So now we have three. Cause I bought 2 while we were out. One to use. Another one to use when we lose the other one.

Emily’s birthday is tomorrow. She will be twelve. She is super excited. Me & David not-so-much.

She asked if she could make her own birthday cake this year. Sure, why not.

David is taking tomorrow off and we’ll be celebrating throughout the day. Depending on how Sarah feels, I may keep her home for part of the festivities. Emily is still trying to decide what she’d like to do. So far, rock climbing, movies, putt-putt, go-cart racing and a couple other things have been mentioned. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow.

pot of oil

I’ve been needing a candy thermometer for the longest time. But I am cheap and never wanted to pay a lot for one. While walking down the aisle at Wal=Mart I spotted this one. Not only for candy but for oil too. Ha! And only 3 bucks. Cheap.

I’ve only missed two days, that I can remember, of my 365 thingamabob.

Here are some shots from last week. In no particular order.

Sarah gets “glasses” and 365 update

Over the weekend we took the girls to the mall to visit Build a Bear, they had gift cards from Christmas, and were itching to spend them.

While there Sarah and I headed to Claire’s to look for new earrings. She picked out a pair of cute cupcakes and then she spotted the fashion glasses. She had to have a pair.

As soon as she put them on she said, I can see better!

Yeah, Okay. They are FAKE.

But they sure do look cute on her.

I started project 365 a couple days late. But better late than never right?

I’m really gonna try hard this year. I have started 3 years. And stopped 3 years.
After the first month. HA!
