ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Jennifer AlLee was born in Hollywood, California and for the first 10 years of her life lived over a mortuary one block from Hollywood and Vine. An avid reader and writer, she completed her first novel in high school. That manuscript is now safely tucked away, never again to see the light of day. Her first inspirational romance, The Love of His Brother, was released in November 2007 by Five Star Publisher.
Besides being a writer, she is a wife and mom. Living in Las Vegas, Nevada, her husband and teenage son have learned how to enjoy the fabulous buffets there without severely impacting their waistlines. God is good!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Maura Sullivan never intended to set foot in Granger, Ohio, again. But when circumstances force her to return, she must face all the disappointments she tried so hard to leave behind: a husband who ignored her, a congregation she couldn’t please, and a God who took away everything she ever loved.
Nick Shepherd thought he had put the past behind him, until the day his estranged wife walked back into town. Intending only to help Maura through her crisis of faith, Nick finds his feelings for her never died. Now, he must admit the mistakes he made, how he hurt his wife, and find a way to give and receive forgiveness.
As God works in both of their lives, Nick and Maura start to believe they can repair their broken relationship and reunite as man and wife. But Maura has one more secret to tell Nick before they can move forward. It’s what ultimately drove her to leave him three years earlier, and the one thing that can destroy the fragile trust they’ve built.

Star Wars: Emily vs Darth Vader

Emily absolutely loves Star Wars.

I believe her love for it began around 6ish and it has yet to stop.

I know nothing about Star Wars, and remember her correcting me several times, that it is not a light “saver” but a light “saber” I think I replied, something like, well, whatever. {cause I’m so grown up and all}

{ Oh, and its “DARTH” Vader not “DARK” Vader }

They have an attraction at Hollywood Studios called Jedi Training where several kids are picked to participate. From the moment we started planning our trip, Emily started talking about how she wanted to do this.

Under the supervision of the Jedi Master, learn and master moves in an easy, step-by-step process that any true Jedi could handle. But be warned: There is a disturbance in the Force. Stormtroopers have been seen in the area, and it is rumored Darth Vader himself could make an appearance. Will you pass the test and defeat the Dark Side in a one-to-one battle for good? May the Force be with you!

As soon as we arrived at Hollywood Studios, David & Emily headed over to wait in line. At each showing they only pick out 15 kids, they were hoping to get in line early. Which they did. They were not sure if they would pick the first 15 or pick 15 randomly out of the group.

While they waited I took Sarah and Audrey around for more autographs.

We called and David told us she was picked,

We were so excited for her.

What made this day even more special, was that it was also her 11th birthday.
She did not stop smiling. I think she even fell asleep with a smile on her face.

This was such a fun day for us! One that will not soon be forgotten. I’m so glad that Emily had the opportunity to do this.

Here is the video. Darth Vader comes out at 4:23 and take note at 5:41 Darth Vader makes a fist at Sarah.

And she did that same move all day long.

Things I Took Note Of

1. The waiter at Cracker Barrel had no clue what I was talking about when I ordered creamed potatoes. They should be called mashed potatoes.

2. McDonald’s in Georgia & Florida do not serve sausage gravy biscuits.

3. People really do not look in the mirror before they leave the house. The skinny jean is meant for those who are stick skinny. Men who have big bellies please, I beg you, buy a shirt that is long enough to cover your entire belly area. Some things are just better not seen.

4. Most of the people who ride in motorized scooters (around the parks) really should be getting exercise and walking. Oh, and put down that big turkey leg.

5. Saying y’all is a sure fire way for someone to figure out you are from the south.

6. We noticed the happiest people down there were from different countries. You could see the excitement on their faces, in how they walked and talked. They said excuse me, please & thank you.Offered a helping hand.

7. Americans, not so happy. Which I found to be weird, since we were at the happiest place on earth. I mean come on, it’s where Mickey lives. Families rude to one another, rude to everyone around them, could not stand to wait in line, for anything. Grumpy!

8. I am so glad we don’t have cable or satellite. I would watch tv constantly if we did.

9. Disney is the only place where you get good customer service. Just because you are in Florida, does not mean that everyone who is there to serve you, the costumer, does it with a smile. More than likely it is a grumble.

10. People do not follow the rules. Big shocker there. If they tell you not to use flash photography, please do not use flash photography. It takes away from the show or ride for everyone else. And for heavens sake, do not jump in line. I mean really, you think no one notices when you scoot your way up from the back of the line.

One of the biggest things I took note of was how beautiful the weather was. Oh, I just wanna go back! ha! We are getting snow and ice this weekend.

Florida is not.
