christmas tree craft (1 of 1)We started the count down to Christmas today. Each day we’ll take off one of the “gifts”  and see what fun family/craft activity we have planned for that day. I have lots of little surprises for them. That is, If I can remember to keep my big mouth shut. I blew tomorrow’s “surprise” by letting it slip out this afternoon.

Oh, well. There’s always tomorrow right?

Today’s craft was very simple. The girls enjoyed putting together their little Christmas trees. You only need a handful of supplies. Because seriously, SIMPLE.

yarn .. cone shaped styrofoam .. colored straight pins .. scissors ..  glue

See simple.

Basically, you wrap the yarn around the cone, addling a little glue here and there.

Once you get all your yarn on, stick the straight pens all over the tree. This was their favorite part.

I had planned on using the cinnamon stars we made last year and a topper but once the girls finished they decided they like it this way.

Once trees are complete, you can take like fifty-eleven pictures of ‘em, rearranging ‘em here and there, reviewing the pictures in the view finder, hitting the delete button,  trying to get the art of shooting in manual mode down, just for the fun of it.
