Warning: Lots of pictures ahead.
Although I LOVE the ocean, I’m not a big fan of getting in the ocean. There are pictures to prove that once upon a time {many years ago} I loved playing in the ocean. And while sometimes I wish I could get out of crazyville, throw caution to the wind, and just jump in instead of just watching for sharks the girls play……I opt to sit out and keep an eye on things. {like the lack of bathing suit material on teenage girls, or plus sized women, seriously??)
They in fact love the ocean. LOVE it.
While they are jumping the waves, I’m sitting as far back as I can trying not to imagine all the things out there among the waves.
Now that they are older, Emily & Audrey head out with their boogie boards. Our very first day, their little legs got so raw from riding those things.
Sarah likes walking with a boogie board around her arm, staying close to the shoreline {unless David is with her} Pretty soon she will be out there with the older girls riding the waves.
Doesn’t that look like fun? I wish the ocean didn’t have fish, seaweed & other icky creatures out there wondering around.
I told David we needed to let the girls watch Jaws so we I would never have to worry about them being eaten by shark……….they’d never want to get in the ocean again. {don’t be judgin’}
When David gets in the ocean with the girls they go out a little further and jump the waves. At one point I thought Sarah was just getting board with it all. She finally told me that she didn’t like all the icky stuff out there. {that’s my girl}
The girls met a couple kids while playing in the ocean. They all decided to come out and build a sand castle.
While Sarah and her little friend were playing, her job was to help get water.
We had a most wonderful time at the beach. I can’t wait to go back next year.
Audrey told David last night after we were home and settled it’s like we never even went.
{sigh} Back to reality.

Beautiful pics of your vacation! I especially love the one of Emily from the back with the waves splashing her. All of them are SUPER, though! You’re so talented. I agree about the icky stuff, but if you can block it out and just jump on in, it can be very relaxing out there floating around (ok, yes, I am worried about a shark attack and getting sucked out in an undertow, so not as relaxing as it probably could be LOL) I don’t do it often, but every now & then my David will talk me into it.
I love the ocean! We haven’t been since our honeymoon (five years ago)! I’m a little jealous that you live close enough to go more often than that

{gasp} Seriously. You take the most amazing pictures. Ever. I’m soooo jealous! Did you ever take a class? You are seriously talented!! I might have to snag a picture to scrap for a beach kit I have, if that’s okay of course. I wanna go to the beach too!!! It looks like you had a wonderful time!!! =)
Great pictures of course!!! Would you like to stow away in our suit case when we go in July as our own personal photographer… :~)…lol…. Isn’t it amazing how much we LOVE the beach but not so fond of the ocean??? I’m the same way! I’m kinda glad my girls like to “lay-out” with mama now and observe the different styles of bathing suits and lack there of?????!! we call it “mother daughter bonding time”!
I LOVE the ocean!!! how can you think of showing your girls jaws after looking at the HUGE smiles on their faces as they ride those waves?!!! yes, I’m judging.
these pictures are amazing!
I sure think this needs to be a book on your coffee table w/ all these gorgeous shots. the colors in the first photo are absolutely captivating!
BEAUTIFUL photos!! looks like an incredible time … it goes so quickly, but what a blessing to have amazing photographic memories!
