Summer break is just around the corner. The girls are already talking all about things they want to do. Their lists are like mine, never ending. So far at the top is swimming. Which will be a lot easier this year with Sarah being older and the girls being better swimmers. I always worry when we go to the pool, especially when it is crowded.
I bought some material a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to pulling out the sewing machine. I’m getting better
I can now thread the bobbin thingy, and the machine without referring to the book. Which is a good thing, cause I can’t find it! I attempted to make a camera strap last week, still need to practice on that. It’s a little big, but it will do. I’d like to be able to make a couple for gifts.
Yesterday, I fixed up one of Sarah’s shirts from this winter. It was just a plain white, long sleeve blouse. I had NO clue what I was doing. I cut the sleeves off with the intent to put a little ruffle around them, that didn’t go to well, so I cuffed them. It is a miracle that they are even. Seriously. I also cut out circles so I could make one of those cute flowers. I think next time I’m gonna leave the stem off and just sew a group of them together. The only thing I’d do different is bring the flower up a little more, make it more center. I had thought about adding a ruffle around the collar to make it look more center, but I was scared I’d ruin it. HA!
Today, I’ll be cutting up Emily & Audrey’s white shirts. Emily wants an E on hers, not sure what Audrey wants. I found a cute little cupcake pattern that I may try.
Oh, speaking of cupcakes! Have ya’ll seen those little cupcake cake pans ? They are adorable! I ran across one at Wal-Mart that was half off since it was wrapped in an Easter package. I can’t wait to try it out. Maybe the girls and I will work on one today.

Soooo cute!! and I love the flikr photos in your side bar!

How cute is that shirt?!! I love it! You need to start an Etsy shop!!! I can’t wait to see Emily and Audrey’s shirts too!
aww. Too cute! The shirts are adorable!
And those cupcake pans.. just as cute. Why can’t I ever think of stuff so simple like that. Whoever came up with that is making mucho $$$ now. LOL.
Have a great weekend
The shirt looks cute! Way better than I could have done. I have to re-train myself on threading the bobbin everytime I use the sewing machine. Either I’m just really stupid or I need to sew more
