In April we will have been in this house for one year. We are officially moved in, just not officially unpacked.
We painted Emily’s & Audrey’s bedrooms shortly after we moved in.
Emily, pink & orange.
Audrey, pink & green.
We’ve yet to paint and fix up Sarah’s room because she I cannot decide on a color. She wants BRIGHT yellow. I want a soft yellow or a light blue. I taped up a swatch of the blue I want above her light switch. The longer it stays there the more I like the color.
She also needs a new bedspread, I’ve been looking at the kids bedding at All Children’s Furniture and found several that I like and will match the color blue I have picked out.
I love this ONE {princess} and this ONE {Hannah} okay, ONE more {butterflies}
I would paint her room light pink, but I’ve I’ve already painted her furniture light pink, and I just don’t think it will look right up against a pink wall. I don’t know. This is why I’ll never be an interior decorator.
Okay, I could look at room ideas all day but let’s move on to the giveaway.
We’ve already established that I am not good at decorating but I am good at cooking! I LOVE cooking.

I want to officially enter the contest giveaway and put my 2 cents worth in on Sarah’s bedding. I personally like the butterflies better for several reasons. I think all the bedding is pretty but I like the pastel colors in the butterflies and the pattern of the bedding can last longer for her. They are not so young looking they she can not use that as her bedding well up into her teens. I am looking at the big, long picture. For what it is worth that is my opinion.
Looking forward to using my new crock-pot at the next fellowship we have!!! LOL

I’d say your blog is the best thing since sliced bread, but I hear your sliced homemade bread is better than ANYTHING!
BTW, I agree with Tracey on the bedspread. You can also change the colors in her room to match any of the colors of the butterflies. Do you think the white will get dirty too quickly, though? And I *know* you aren’t paying full price for that! Girlfriend! LOL

Decorating and looking at bedding is so fun. Love. it. Looks like you can’t go wrong with any of those three. Painting furniture… Now, I could use some tips on that. Did you coat yours with polyurethane? You have to love pink furniture in a lil’ girls room. Precious.

Decorating is always so hard. We are 5 years in this house and it is in constant flux…I painted a mural in my sons room and he got mad that I did it without him.
As for cooking…crock pots are awesome and I had cast iron pots and gave them away when I didn’t cook…but now that I do..I want them back!

We recently re-decorated the peanut’s ‘toddler’ room to a ‘big girl’ room and it was so much fun finding all the cute girly accessories. Her room colors are (soft)yellow & lavender…the decorations we added incorporate those colors plus lots of various shades of pink mixed in, including butterfly bedsheets and canvas storage boxes.
