They were calling for a dusting. We got a little more than a dusting.
So, I mentioned to y’all yesterday that I was going to attempt to make my own hamburger buns. I wasn’t sure when I first pulled them out of the oven, I was assumed they would be soft and fluffy like the ones you buy at the grocery store. But instead of calling David, which I was going to do, and have him pick up a pack on the way home, I decided we would try them.
And they were good.
Supper last night was completely homemade. Yes, it was.
pulled chicken Q sandwiches & french fries.
I am trying really, really hard to come down on our grocery bill. Part of that is making things from scratch. I think I’ve used my mixer more the past two weeks than I did last year.
Oh, duh, can’t believe I have not showed y’all yet! But David got me a little somethin’ for Valentine’s Day. {yes, he broke the rules} I got a skillet! with a lid!
I returned the larger skillet {that thing was HUGE} for this one. That’s why I didn’t post right after Valentine’s Day. I wanted to wait until I got this one. I have used it several times, almost daily really. I can’t wait to make a big ‘ole pan of cornbread in it. Or a pineapple upside down cake. And maybe even a skillet apple pie.
Don’t forget about the giveaway!!
