Will I Always Wonder?

Like I do every night, I’m sitting here reflecting on the day. More times than not, I think about how bad I messed up, and wondering what I can do different tomorrow.

Tomorrow night, I’ll be thinking on these same things.

Will I always wonder this? Until they are grown and out on there on? And even then, when they have families of their own, will I wonder if I did all I could do to prepare them.

I think there’s always something new to learn. Maybe we should think of it that way. We can always learn from each other, and surprisingly, from our kids – and from what didn’t work today. What’s important is that our hearts remain teachable, don’t you think?

I like how introspective your questions are. I can tell you must be a great mom. Great moms know they don’t have it all together, and probably never will. Because they never accept that they’ve reached perfection – they’re always striving to do it better. YOur girls are lucky. Blessed.

    Have a great weekend.

  2. I often wonder/worry about this too. I know our oldest is a wonderful girl but I suppose those outside influences are the ones that scare me. How is homeschooling? It’s like I world that I know nothing about. I’m guessing the dedication on your part is huge. Have you girls ever gone to school outside the home or is this something you’ve done from day one. PS…your little ladies are beautiful.

  5. Oh my, I can relate! Raising children is both the greatest gift and greatest challenge that exists. The fact that you put such thought into what you do and how you do it demonstrates what a great mom your kids have! Happy Friday from your newest follower- don’t be so hard on yourself. We all have days like that!

Sweet friend.. I’ve been there.. and now that they are older I wish I could tell you .. yes.. it goes away.. but you know what.. it doesn’t.. it happens A LOT less.. but I think if your a mom.. it won’t ever go away.. but that’s a good thing.. it means God is working :-)

I agree with all of the above comments…I don’t think we are ever fully sure of ourselves as Moms. But a sure sign that we are on the right track is how often we find ourselves in prayer for wisdom and guidence from our Father. :)
I am sure you are a wonderful mom and thankfully even on our worst days we have Him to turn to. :)

  13. I know your feelings. But, just know, the essential need of a child is love. If your children are loved, then they are ahead of millions of neglected children in the world. I’m sure you are a wonderful loving mother to those beautiful little girls!!
