Have I mentioned that I am ready for spring?
I’m so glad last week is behind us, and we are on to a new week.
Sickness, jury duty, rain, snow & ice almost made it unbearable.
Friday, the power went out, and it quickly became unbearable.
And cold.
The power went out Friday around 3:30, and finally came back on last night around 6ish.
Very rarely do we lose power, so the first night it was kind of an adventure. Lighting candles, using flashlights and wrapping up in blankets.
Saturday morning, when we woke up to no power, not-so-much fun anymore.
Yesterday, we emptied the freezers and fridge, it was awful having to throw away all that food. Thankfully, were were able to save some ground beef, and other meats that were in the garage freezer. Everything else though, gone.
They’re calling for more bad weather to make its way here maybe on Tuesday. I really, really, hope not.
We’ll try to be a little bit more prepared this time.
Very rarely do we see winters like this around our parts. Mostly, we get just a dusting, or an inch or two here and there, not one snow/ice storm after another.
Every year the girls pray for snow. Yesterday, I told them not to pray for it anymore. lol
I am me plain & simple
I know where you are…I usually love winter, but I am so ready for spring! We’re supposed to get our first major snow storm since before Christmas tonight and tomorrow, and I’m stuck at home by myself while my husband is traveling for work. He had to teach me to use the snowblower before he left so we won’t be stuck in the house while he’s gone!
Oh..I hear you! We haven’t lost power but we have had an uncharacteristically snowy and cold winter and I’m ready for it to be done!
I am so ready for spring! We ended up throwing away food too and it does give you an awful feeling especially after you just bought it on Thursday. Hope you guys are having a good week!

Oh no! Maybe those girls have witnessed the power of prayer now though! lol
Lol! Kids, next time, pray for spring hehe! Anyway, it’s better to lose power than lose the water! Here in our place, we often lose water supply in our place and it sucks! Haha! Anyway, spring is coming so cheer up!
