Christmas Dresses & A Charlie Brown Christmas

by Michelle on December 2, 2009

Shopping for Christmas dresses went better than expected.

Way better than expected. With in 15 minutes they each
had their dress picked out.

Whew!

Sarah, chose a dress, that she otherwise would not pick.
It’s  one I like, matter of fact, I love it, and tickled to death
that she picked this one out. She did however ask if she could
get two dresses, one of which was exactly what I thought she’d
pick out.

If you look real close, you’ll see why she picked this one. Care to guess?
She now has a Christmas dress for one of her babies. And they will match.

It will not surprise me when it’s time to wear the dress, that she tells me
she wants to wear something else. I’m also thinking of making her wear it
every Sunday. HA!

I’ll give you a sneak peek of Emily & Audrey’s dresses.
They like for it to be a surprise.
I will tell you this little bit of information.
Audrey will be wearing her hot pink Converse.
I’m totally okay with it. Cause it was my idea. {heehee}

So, how many of you were as disappointed as we were, that A Charlie Brown Christmas
has been moved to next week.

The girls have talked and talked about watching it for the past couple of day.
And pretty much all day yesterday.

Emily ran downstairs to get the TV set up, then came running up the stairs
telling us it was not coming on. I told her it was probably a commercial
since I had no clue it had been rescheduled. She ran back downstairs
to double check and let us know that the President was on EIGHT {of our}
channels.

I just  posted a little fb update last night about the girls {i thought it was funny and I
remember being little and wondering why they aired the President
on every.single.channel}

It was funny to see all the other posts too.
Then this morning seeing stuff on the internet about it.
I didn’t think there would be much said about it, and thought maybe
it was just the girls excitement that had them a little down,
but  people are having a field day with this.

One heading says…….How Obama Stole Charlie Brown’s Christmas?

I wonder if it even crossed their minds when they made the decision
to air last night.

I mean, he’s already getting a bad rap where Christmas is concerned
and now it’s even worse.

The dresses look beautiful! I can’t wait to put Lily in hers — she’s too little to care what it looks like so I’m enjoying the full control over how to dress her while I have it :)

Oh I hear you about the president’s speech….He almost fouled up our Biggest Loser showing. This wouldve been a disaster.
And…..wow I am having a minor coronary…..do boys have ‘Christmas outfits’, too? {idonthaveany}
Love the Pink converse idea….so ca-ute!

Too cute!! Lovin’ the doll dress as well. Converse with dresses… You crack me up! :) They’re gonna look adorable! Oh, maybe tell Sarah YOU want to wear her dress and she’ll fight you for it. Ha! That reverse psychology has worked on Gracie before. Hehe…

We did not realize Charlie Brown Christmas was supposed to be on……kind of tells you were our kids are….I’m not even sure any of mine were home. However, had it been 10 years ago…..we would have had weeping and gnashing of teeth!
