A week or so ago I went out on a hunt for a bedspread. I knew about what I wanted, I just didn’t want to spend the money. Sarah and I stopped at several places before heading to Target. Which is where I should have gone first. I have been in love with their Shabby line since they first started selling it.
For the longest time, I have wanted a white bedspread. Since all the girls are in their own beds now, I thought why not. I love it. Absolutely love it.
Sarah has been sleeping in her bed now for the longest time. She loves to be in her own bed & in her own room. But since I bought our new bedspread she has all the sudden became “scared” to sleep in her own room. {sigh} And I am scared for her to be in our room, in my bed. The first night she was in there with us, I just knew she was going to have an accident. I ended up getting her up in the middle of the night to see if she had to go. And yes, she did.
I am wanting to add some tan & light blue in our room. I stopped by Goodwill this past Saturday and picked up a couple curtains and table cloths to make window treatments for our bare windows. I’m also going to make a couple pillows to add a little color to the bed.
David came home with these flowers Friday. He’s so sweet! I think I am always going to want
fresh flowers in our room now. It just adds something to the room. I love walking in and seeing them sitting on the dresser. See that vase, I bought that at Salvation army for 99 cents. LOVE it! I’m on the look out now for milk glass whenever I am out and about. I’m hoping to add more to our room in the future too. I would be beyond giddy if I found a milk glass punch bowl and cups. I’d also like to get each of the girls a smaller vase to put in their room. Just big enough to put a single flower in, with maybe just a pit of greenery.
Things are starting to fall into place here at the house. We still need to buy more furniture for the upstairs living room but I want to be sure before we go out and buy anything. We ended up moving the old couch upstairs and buying a futon for downstairs. Oh, I’ll have to share that story with y’all in the next couple of days.
