Chickadee is doing it. Sarah is doing it. Gayle is doing it. I’m sure that many more are doing it, and as of today, I am doing it, at least half of it, I watched the other half while sitting in the floor.  I thought I could pull one over on Jillian, and I did, but not Miss Sarah, who came in, looked at me, then the tv and said, mommy your ‘posed to be doing that. Not once, but twice she told me to get off the floor. Even though I told her I couldn’t, she just stood there, hands on her hips encouraging giving me the evil eye. Kidding, she offered to come help me up off the floor. That makes ya feel real good.

Anyhoo, We ordered TWO so I could share the pain love with one of you.

fourteen years

FOURTEEN YEARS!

Today, David and I have been married for fourteen years. I can’t believe it. Not that we made it this far, but how fast it has gone by!

Since we have church tonight, we went out and celebrated last night. One of the things I love most about David is he doesn’t wait until a special occasion to show me, or the girls, how much he loves and adores us. He does this on a daily basis. He doesn’t wait to give flowers on holidays, birthdays or anniversaries, he sends them throughout the year. He’d probably even send them more if I told him not to waste the money, cause all I do is kill them.

Last night, David got my sister and her husband to watch the girls while we went out to dinner. When we finished eating I asked him if we could stop by Goodwill, he laughed and we went on our way. After that, I wanted to go to Wal-Mart to look at Futons. And then we went to Mayberry and split a banana split. Oh, it was so much fun. My not seem like a lot but it was time that we had together to talk, or just sit in silence and enjoy one another’s company.

After we first married we tried to go to the beach every year for our anniversary but after having babies that has kinda been put on hold. We’ve talked about going, but just are not ready to leave the girls. Emily and Audrey would be fine, Sarah, I just can’t, right now, stand the thoughts of leaving her.

So, maybe in a couple years we can start back our little tradition of get-a-ways but for right now, THIS is what I enjoy. BEING with David, and being able to put a sentence together without someone interrupting or having to break up a fight, or clean up a mess.

Another thing I LOVE about David is that he always buys practical gifts for me, something that I can use, something that will not just sit around. We decided not to get each other a gift this year since we are saving for a couch and a much needed Beach & Disney trip.

You know, I told y’all that David ordered SHRED for me the other night, well, we got it yesterday and I have been teasing him, telling him, I’m gonna tell everybody that is what he got me for our anniversary and that you want me to get back down to the size I was on our wedding day! ha! So, this could be one anniversary gift that will just SIT!

He ordered one for me AND one for me to giveaway here on the blog. I will be posting all about it tomorrow! Hope you’ll stop back by and put your name in. I did the workout this morning and my legs feel like jello! I thought that I would be fine since my body had already gone through the shock of boot camp. I was wrong!

Happy Anniversary! I love you! Looking forward to the next 14 years!
