I love me some flip flops! So, when Linda announced she would be hosting Flip Flop Frenzy over on her blog, I jumped right on it.

She paired me up with Sarah over @ This Beautiful Mess and here are the CuTe little flip flops she sent me……..

Yesterday, I tried my hand at making another valance. It went a lot better than the first one I made.

I really did not care for the ones that the previous owners left hanging, so, I cut up the shower curtain that they left behind.

Here is one of the ones I made yesterday afternoon out of the shower curtain.

Although this one is far from perfect, I like it so much better. I really do not care for the curtain rods though. I tried painting the other one but the spray paint ran and would not stick to the wood. I’m hoping to paint the metal ones that are upstairs an ivory color and move them down to the den.

I’ve gotten so sick of looking at bare walls, I finally got around to hanging some stuff up.

Oh, while I’m thinking about it, remember the couch a couple of you were wondering if we were getting it in red, sorry to disappoint but we are getting it in beige. I’m not brave enough to go red. Just yet. The good thing about it is we can start out with the beige and then buy the red slip cover later on. Or the pink one!
