The rain has stopped, and we are finally able to see the sun, and the beautiful blue sky.
Carolina blue.
Do any of y’all keep up with college basketball? I don’t. But many of my friends do and many of them are very excited that Carolina has made it to the final four. Me, I could care less. I’ll be glad when it is over. I’m tired of hearing about scores, hearing Carolina fans talk about Duke. Hearing Duke fans talk about Carolina. And I will be SO glad when little remarks quit coming through my facebook feed reader.
Enough about sports! We were finally able to get outside yesterday afternoon. It’s still kind of chilly, but the rain has stopped.
Look at how green our grass is because of all the rain we have been getting. Beautiful! David was able to get out and mow last night. Probably his last time mowing this yard. We are hoping to close on our new house next Tuesday. We are all excited. It’s all bittersweet. For me anyway. I still get a little upset when I think about it. Not so much the house. But all the little memories. All the little things that make this our home.
The girls wanted to bounce around on the trampoline yesterday. It’s always fun taking their pictures as they do their “tricks” Sarah is especially funny to watch. You’d think she was jumping a mile high the way she acts. Well, I guess to her, she is. She is such a tiny little thing. Bossy little thing too.

Just taking a little break from packing.
Man, we have a lot of junk.
I have only packed up to move twice.
When David and I got married, I think I had like 5 small boxes then.
When we moved out of our rental into this house. And now that I think about we
really did not have a lot of stuff back then.
Now after about 12 years we are packing up this house and I have no clue where to start. I think our stuff got together and multiplied without us knowing it.
I packed up quiet a bit when we first started getting the house ready. It was going into storage so I packed it up nice & neat in boxes. I really don’t want to take the time to pack up the other stuff since we will just have to unpack it again, hopefully, next week. Ugh!
Do I really need to wrap up every.single.item. in newspaper? I mean we are just going down the road about 15 minutes. My thought is just stick it in a box ,put it in the van, ride down the road, unload it ,and put it in the new house.
For the clothes, I just want to take the drawers out of the dressers, load ‘em up in the van, and just stick them back in the dresser once the guys get them moved.
I dread packing up the rest of the house. I keep putting off the stuff I could be doing, like the junk drawers in the kitchen, movies, the stuff under the beds, the bathrooms, ugh, gonna stop with my list, it’s starting to discourage me! heehee
I do wish I could pack up the girls’ closet door and take it with us.
