Little Trespassers

For the past couple of months we have had a couple trespassers.

This here is the ringleader.

chicken

He has three little followers and they roam around our neighborhood leaving eggs and piles of poop.

Right now he is out behind the house doing whatever it is roosters do.

The first time he came by, it was just him, and it was kinda fun. He jumped up on the deck, walked around, got up on the table, then flew off. The girls had the best time watching him, we even threw something out for him to eat…..he reminded us of the little chickens in Cinderella pecking around.

He would come back and we would run to the window and watch him.

Then he started bringing his friends with him. And they make a mess.

It is no fun to go out in your own yard and realize that you have just stepped in a pile of chicken poop.

So, now when we see him & his friends, we start yelling, knocking on the windows, telling them to leave, and sometimes, Emily will run outside and chase him off.

Nothing has worked.

The still come back.

Everyday.

I have NO clue what we are gonna do when we start showing the house, which will hopefully be soon, because no one is gonna want to buy a house that comes with chickens.

And cows.

Oh, have I never mentioned the cows.

Who leave bigger piles of poop by the way.

Yes, we have cows that come into our yard too.

David has to chase those off when they come around, which thankfully, has not been in a long while. But I’m sure once it warms up and our grass starts growing, they will return.

And I’m sure it will be on a day, when someone is looking at the house, and trying to decide if they should buy or not. And they’ll look out and see the chickens & cows and decided that living on Green Acres really isn’t for them.

At least the skunk family is gone.

Heheeee heheee! Ya know what, for some people, I bet cows and chickens could be an added bonus to buying yor house! Just think. The economy is bad so whoever buys your house may be able to come by some milk from the cow or eggs from the chickens when times get rough. =) I love that picture of the rooster. What color!!!!

That’s just funny…I guess I don’t think about people have those kind of critters in the city…Where I live you aien’t cool unless you have cows, chickens, and even goats!!!hahaha!!
The picture of the rooster is beautiful though! Even if he does make a mess!

what about free milk and eggs…that would be a good disclaimer in the house contract. that or “free chicken & hamburger”! ☺

Love the pic of the rooster. We have an issue with pigeons. I am sorry I hope the cows and chickens stay away. Get some chicken feed or something and lead them away from your house!

Having lived on a small farm for 5 years I can appreciate this post. I actually miss having cows and chickens sometimes.

I bet your girls are having a ball getting to see all this ‘farmlife’ in their yard!!

That is just too funny! The picture is really good, it’s so full of color! Don’t have any ideas on how to rid it from your yard though…I’m a city girl!

HAHA! That is just too funny!! I’m not really fond of chickens & roosters but I’ll have to admit this ones colors are pretty. I had no idea you had cows as visitors too. Wow, that’s amazing and it would be absolutely hilarious if you were showing the house and these trespassers decide to take a visit the day of, hee hee.
