Little Trespassers

by Michelle on February 23, 2009

For the past couple of months we have had a couple trespassers.

This here is the ringleader.

chicken

He has three little followers and they roam around our neighborhood leaving eggs and piles of poop.

Right now he is out behind the house doing whatever it is roosters do.

The first time he came by, it was just him, and it was kinda fun. He jumped up on the deck, walked around, got up on the table, then flew off. The girls had the best time watching him, we even threw something out for him to eat…..he reminded us of the little chickens in Cinderella pecking around.

He would come back and we would run to the window and watch him.

Then he started bringing his friends with him. And they make a mess.

It is no fun to go out in your own yard and realize that you have just stepped in a pile of chicken poop.

So, now when we see him & his friends, we start yelling, knocking on the windows, telling them to leave, and sometimes, Emily will run outside and chase him off.

Nothing has worked.

The still come back.

Everyday.

I have NO clue what we are gonna do when we start showing the house, which will hopefully be soon, because no one is gonna want to buy a house that comes with chickens.

And cows.

Oh, have I never mentioned the cows.

Who leave bigger piles of poop by the way.

Yes, we have cows that come into our yard too.

David has to chase those off when they come around, which thankfully, has not been in a long while. But I’m sure once it warms up and our grass starts growing, they will return.

And I’m sure it will be on a day, when someone is looking at the house, and trying to decide if they should buy or not. And they’ll look out and see the chickens & cows and decided that living on Green Acres really isn’t for them.

At least the skunk family is gone.

Poor, Little, Pitiful Me

February 20, 2009

I have felt just awful these past two weeks! It started two weeks ago yesterday, when I started having chills & aches, and thought I was dying. I’m exaggerating. Just a little.  So, I pretty much stayed in bed until Saturday.
Then I had to go to the dentist on Monday to have a tooth [...]

Is this not the sweetest little picture!
Sarah just walked up to me and handed me a handful of pennies, said she’s saving for an ipod touch or Littlest Pet Shop. Silly girl!

Trampoline Fun

February 17, 2009

Sarah and Natalie had a ball playing on the trampoline together.
Sarah, being the big girl, had to show Natalie how to do all her fancy tricks.

We only ran into trouble once and that was when Sarah wanted to smooch all over Natalie.

Sarah can jump.
Sarah can twirl.
Look at that smile. Check out that hair.
