Kathleen Y’Barbo

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

There’s never a dull moment in the Y’Barbo household! From hockey and cheer mom to publicist to bestselling author, Kathleen Y’Barbo somehow manages to do it all – and well. While wearing her publicist’s hat, Kathleen has secured interviews with radio, television, and print media for clients at NavPress, Hatchette, Integrity, Barbour Publishing, and Broadman & Holman, to name a few. She also brings her own unique blend of Southern charm and witty prose to the more than 350,000 award-winning novels and novellas currently in print. Her novels have been nominated for American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006; and 2007 will see the release of her 25th book.

Kathleen is a tenth-generation Texan and a mother of three grown sons and a teenage daughter. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Kathleen is a former treasurer for the American Christian Fiction Writers, and is a member of the Author’s Guild, Inspirational Writers Alive, Words for the Journey Christian Writers Guild, and the Fellowship of Christian Authors. In addition, she is a sought-after speaker, and her kids think she’s a pretty cool mom, too…most of the time, anyway.

The first book in this series is Beloved Castaway.

ABOUT THE BOOK

In this sequel to Beloved Castaway, Emilie Gayarre is learning to accept her mixed race heritage while finding fulfillment in teaching children of the key. There is no denying the attraction between Emilie and the handsome young naval commander, Caleb Spencer, who is shadowed by his own flock of secrets. But if her heritage is found out, even greater things than his career are at risk. Enjoy this historical romance full of risk and redemption.

Big Sister Emily

Emily is such a wonderful big sister to Audrey & Sarah. They have their moments, as many of us do, but for the most part they love on each other, and are the best of friends.

Every now and again, I catch them in such sweet moments, and I was lucky enough blessed to see this the other day.

While the girls were out running around in the yard the other day Sarah fell.

And instead of wanting me, she wanted Emily. (When the girls are getting along, Emily is a little momma to Sarah)

After Emily made everything better, she had her carry her into the house.

And of course, I was right behind them snapping away! Love that zoom lens!

this will have to do for now……

yikes! i forgot how much trouble it is to change templates! i posted a post this morning (with a different template) and when i changed to this template it totally messed up! i made it worse so deleted it.

i worked on another template last night and i really liked it but i need color! it was white with the little header above ~  that graphic is SOOOOO cute! i ran across this site last night and spent the longest time looking through her sketchbook. i think this little graphic (chicks in header) says it all when it comes to me and the girls (heehee) notice mom’s tears and how two of the little chicks are hiding their faces! that would be Emily & Audrey, and Sarah is forever holding her little arms up to me!

in the post i deleted, i was also telling you that we are still enjoying our camera! i think Emily & Audrey are a little tired of having their picture taken though. Sarah, not so much. she strikes a little pose when she sees me pull the camera out.

oh, & before I forget, several of you have asked what type of camera we got…… It is a Nikon D40 and I think the flash David bought was the Speedlight Unit
